The new co-adjutor Bishop of Lancaster is Rev. Michael Campbell O.S.A.
A co-adjutor Bishop assists a diocesan Bishop in every way as a Bishop and vicar general and has the right to succeed as the next Bishop of the diocese.
Congratulations and welcome back Bishop Michael.
Fr. Michael Campbell is well known to us as he has already served many years here. He has been at the Augustinian priory that was in Carlisle and has been vicar for Religious, so all our convents, monasteries and priories will already know him. He is also an author and reviewer . Ordained Bishop 2nd April 2008 according to this mandate.
