House of Formation

The house of formation has been set up to provide a place where those
not yet ready for major seminary can experience priestly life in a
parish setting. The programme is tailored according to the individual
needs of the student, however spirituality, prayer, study and pastoral
ministry form the core of all the student's development.
The house also functions as the diocesan vocations centre - offering
hospitality and welcome to all who are interested in training for the
priesthood. The centre serves to actively promote vocations throughout
the diocese and is willing to provide speakers and publicity material
for any organisation or parish in the diocee who are interested. In
response to the Lord's mandate that we pray for vocations to the Lord
of the harvest, prayer for vocations is central to the life of the
house.
